Frieda Ermalea (Henderson) Butler, of Harrison, Arkansas, was born August 15, 1935, in Center Point, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Henry and Addie (Clutch) Henderson. Ermalea passed away peacefully with Herman by her side on Friday, December 27, 2024, in Harrison, at the age of 89 years.
Ermalea worked as a CNA at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison for twenty-three years. She enjoyed going on road trips, embroidering pillowcases as gifts, and being with friends and family.
Ermalea is survived by her husband of 48 years, Herman Butler, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Pauletta and Doug Johnson and one son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Tammy Butler, all of Berryville; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Miranda and Cris Goforth, of Berryville; four grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Micheal and Jenna Johnson of Beebe, and Treven and Angela Butler, Dylan and Kayla Butler, and Dakota and Charlia Butler, all of Berryville; nine great-grandchildren, Win and Burke Johnson of Beebe, and Braylee and Haysten Butler, Clara and Shai Butler and Liberty, Teagan and Kase Butler, all of Berryville; several nieces and nephew; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Ermalea was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry, and Addie Henderson; eight siblings, Alice Martinez, Louise Barker, Pearl Howels, Cynthia Villines, Gracie Perez, Bill Henderson, Clinton Henderson, and Jamie Henderson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, Harrison, Arkansas.
Graveside service was on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Hale Cemetery, Oak Grove, Arkansas, with Pastor Paul Hochstedler officiating.
Pallbearers were Doug Johnson, Micheal Johnson, Cris Goforth, Treven Butler, Dylan Butler, and Dakota Butler
Honorary pallbearers were Willard ''Sonny Boy'' Villines and Jarett Henderson
I worked with Ermalea from 1989-1994 at the hospital. She was such a joy to work with. Ermalea and Herman have a very special place in my heart.
Herman, I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers. May God comfort you at this time. Love and hugs.
