Virginia Ann Duren, 84, of West Memphis, AR passed away on December 22, 2024 at The Crossing at Riverside in Searcy, AR, where she moved to be closer to her daughter, Lisa Duren Hill (Don) and granddaughter, Chelsea Hill, after surviving a stroke in 2018. She was born on March 17, 1940 in Marion, AR to Frank Vaught and Winnie Foster Vaught.
She formerly worked at Southland Greyhound Park and Exxon. Taking great pride in maintaining her yard, she received several "Yard of Merit" recognitions. She enjoyed bowling on a Memphis league for many years and with great anticipation, looked forward to watching wrestling every weekend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several family members and friends including her husband, Garland Marion Duren after 15 years of marriage, before he succumbed to his battle with multiple sclerosis and her sister, Irene Cook of Sun City, AZ.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Vaught and sister, Susie Ogden both of Texas; as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will greatly miss her.
Interment will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.

Lisa, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. Wish I had gotten to know her. Sounds like she lived a wonderful life here. May God bless you with peace until you see her again.
