Chantal E. McPherson passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024 at the age of 71. Chantal was born January 6, 1953 in West Memphis, Arkansas to the late Bedford and Francine Smith. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with her grandchildren, camping and playing Yahtzee with her sister are a few things she truly enjoyed. Chantal was a devoted parishioner of St. Michaels Catholic Church in West Memphis. She leaves four children, Chantal Houston, Chris McPherson, Steven McPherson and James McPherson; grandchildren, Christian McPherson, Trinity McPherson, Eleanor Houston, Audry McPherson, Jules McPherson, Jude McPherson and Kailijah Houston and siblings, Bedford Smith, Jr., Gary Smith and Francoise Bagget. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve McPherson and her sister, Rochelle Henderson.

I have so many wonderful memories of Chantal. She gave me the love for all the 60's music that she grew up with. We would stay up late at might and dance to the Beatles and eat cookies. She was the best sister-in-law anyone could ever ask for. She will be joining my brother Steve. They truly loved each other so much. I will miss her and am praying for all the kids and grandkids and her siblings that will miss her as well. My love and prayers to all.

My fondest memory of Chantal was when I was about 10 years old. My sister Lisa and I, her sisters-in-law, spent the night and watched Alien for the first time. We laughed and ate junk food and had the best time ever. It was then that i thought she was the coolest sister -in-law ever! She will be missed.
