Ernest Junior Rowe, age 82, of Omaha passed away on December 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1942, to William Ray and Bertha (Wallace) Rowe in Belcher, Kentucky.

Ernie was a long-time member of Burlington Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life on December 26, 1964, and they were married for 60 years.

Ernie is preceded in death by his father, William Ray Rowe; mother, Bertha Rowe and brothers, Billy Ray Rowe, Roger Rowe, Paul Ed Rowe, Randall Rowe, and John Rowe.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Lucy Rowe; sons, Brian Rowe, Gregory A Rowe; daughter, Sheri R Lerma (Nee Rowe); grandchildren, Brandon Rowe, Cecily Rowe, Elizabeth Gilbert, Hali Rowe, Lexi Hall, Kristen Garfias, Austin Lerma, Andrew Rowe and great-grandchildren, Aria Garfias, Cian Hall, Timothy Horne, Charlie Horne, Ryley Humphrey, Lillith Rowe, Xavier Rowe, Colton Gilbert, Nash Gilbert, Lane Gilbert; sisters, Brenda Looney, Mary K Belden and a host of friends that will miss Ernie.


The funeral service was held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Burlington Baptist Church with Steve Pelz officiating.

Visitation was on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The interment was at Burlington Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brian Rowe, Brandon Rowe, Daniel Lerma, Austin Lerma, Greg Rowe, and Andrew Rowe.
