Betty Dunlap, 74, of Wilson passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She was born in Frenchmans Bayou on October 19, 1950 to Newell and Etoy Dunlap. Betty dedicated her life to the New Life Tabernacle Church and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed caring for the children there as if they were her own. Betty is survived by her brothers, Stanley (Kerstine) Dunlap, Donald (Nina) Dunlap, William Dunlap and Mike Dunlap and sister, Gloria (Gary) Paseur. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Jones and brothers, Tommy and James Dunlap.

Ms. Betty was such a kind-hearted soul.
My mom, Violet Walker, and her were such good friends.
I know she will be missed dearly.

I truly enjoyed getting to know Ms. Betty these past few months. She was always a joy to be with. We shared many afternoons talking and reminiscing about her life. I will miss her but am so grateful that she was my mom's roommate these past few months. May she rest in peace.
