Lindy Darlene Chapman Hensley, 90, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born February 12, 1934 in Saltillo, AR to Clara Marie Chapman and Beacher Chapman. She and her late husband, Windell, were married over 67 years before his passing.
Darlene is survived by her four daughters - Gloria Massey, Pam Healy (Don), Donna Criswell and Gwen Richardson all of Conway; ten grandchildren, Rodney Gwatney (Mary), David Gwatney, Amanda Lentz (Wade), Ana Gwatney, Darla Groe (Brad), Paige White (Jay), Sumerlin Criswell, Dakota Criswell, Christian Criswell and Savannah Bly (Ethan); great-grandchildren, Miguel, Diego and Gloria Thorpe, Olivia Gwatney, Matthew, Landon, Logan and Maddox Lentz, Haley Groe, Hannah and Jocelin White, Jude and Ada Hensley Bly; one great-great-grandchild, Adeline Grace; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene was a member of Beryl Baptist Church for over 57 years. Throughout her life she served as a children's Sunday School teacher, preschool choir teacher, Siloam Springs Camp counselor and served as the cook on numerous mission trips with Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia. Before joining Beryl Baptist Church, she served as a pianist at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Darlene was self-employed as a beautician. Many of her crocheted angels, snowflakes and doilies can be seen throughout Arkansas and beyond.
Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm Saturday, December 28th at Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia with the funeral following. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery following service.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I spent many an hour, many a day in Mrs Darlene’s house as a young teenager. She was a joy and a fine Christian lady, and I am fortunate to have some of those crocheted Christmas ornaments and dollies, and even a doll that she made for Gwen and I as kids. She was truly a blessing and will be deeply missed.
