Jessie Fayette Stuhr

of Houston, AR

December 12, 1939 - December 16, 2024

Went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born December 12, 1939 at Mount Levi, Arkansas to Austin Urban Graves and Joye Belle Asher Graves. She was the second born of four children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Gerald (Jerry) Stuhr, who passed August 2024. She was also preceded in death by her older sister Bobby Koonce (James) and younger sister Linda Elkins (Charles). Jessie is survived by her younger brother, Austin Urban Graves Jr. (Linda-deceased) of Solgohachia. She is also survived by her two sons, Billy Charles Bostian Jr. (Donna) of Houston, Shawn Lee Bostian (Sandra) of Overcup, and Step-son JD Stuhr (Patsy) of Hope. She was blessed with five grandchildren; Jessica Ross (James), Trey Bostian (Nicole), Losson David Bostian (Cheristy), Ashley Reeves (Jessie), Thomas Bostian, and seven great grandchildren, as well as a beloved nephew Kevin Wade (Keith).
Throughout her life Jessie worked for many different companies, such as Levi-Strauss, Piggly Wiggly, Wilkersons Shoes and the steak house in Morrilton, mostly serving in a management, or supervisory position. Jessie was well known and loved in the Damascus Community, where she and Jerry lived for over 30 years. Although she was tiny in stature, she was feisty with every inch of her height. She will be remembered for welcoming new members into the community with her homemade cakes and cookies. After her retirement she continued to serve her community by caring for the elderly. Jessie and Jerry were among the original members of Damascus Road Cowboy Church in Damascus, Arkansas and were very proud of the church and the growth they witnessed while they were there.
