Duane Lee Sutton, age 70, of Capps, Arkansas was born on September 7, 1954. He passed away on December 15, 2024 at his home. He was born in the Boone County Hospital in Harrison, a few years after it opened, to Raymond Bishop and Lena Ruth (Pettit) Sutton. Duane was preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty Lou Jones; his parents; his grandparents, Otis Arthur and Martha Virginia Little Pettit, Floyd Leslie, and Ada Caroline Haney Sutton; an infant brother, Joe Don Meredith and a nephew, Michael Quintin James.
Duane is survived by his daughter, Robin Wilson; his brother, Otis Leon Sutton; his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl Lynne Sutton and Jerry Austin Bolinger and his grandchildren, Ashley Eagleson and Justin Wilson. Numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive him.
Service was on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Brother Ohmer Dyal officiating.
The interment was at Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenny Wray, Scott Langum, Scott Russell, Roy Carl Shultz, Mark Fowler, and Mike Fowler.
Honorary pallbearers were Kent Pettit, Keith Pettit, Ryan James, Ethan James, and Evan James.
