Elbert Lee George, age 81, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at his home in Elaine, Arkansas. He was born on Wednesday, May 19, 1943 in Manila, Arkansas to the late Delbert and Bertie George.
He spent his life farming with hobbies of hunting, fishing and attending gun shows.
He is survived by his four children, Delmond (Gretchen) George of Dewitt, Karen (Kaleb) Hall of Elaine, Colby George of Jonesboro and Genea Mora of Elaine; ten grandchildren, Cole (Christen) Davis, Lanie (Greyson) Emery, Rylee Hall, Sadie Lynn Hall, Ty George, Parker George, Knox George, Vaughn (Becca) Mora, Shaughn (Skyler) Mora and Carmen Mora; seven great grandchildren and two brothers, Melvin (Tina) George and Elvin (Wilma) George.
Elbert is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Bertie George; his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia ''Pat'' George and one brother, Johnny George.
A funeral service for Elbert George will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Roller-Citizens Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Joe Garner will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Christopher George, Edwin George, Macon Perkins, Mac Collins, Greg Faulkner, Marty Walker and Randy Rhodes.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Elbert's grandsons, Johnny Hall, Pete Hibbard, Wayne Shockley, Mann Copeland and Bill Morrow.

Sorry to hear of Elbert’s passing always enjoyed visiting with him. He was always upbeat and down to earth guy. He loved to gaggle over a truck business deal but was always Fair and honest.
Thank you for being a great friend. When growing up I enjoyed shooting pool at your parents house, all the hunting adventures (especially the trip to the Ozarks where I stayed instead of coming back with Uncle Mann, boy I hated facing my mom and dad cause i missed a week from school without their permission. Really enjoyed all your family thanks for the memories. May God bless you all.
