William ''Bill'' Nehus, 82, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in Paris. He was born on July 3, 1942 in Paris to his parents, William and Ocie (Kimberling) Nehus.
Bill worked in the oil field in several different capacities and later worked for over 30 years as nurse. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Nehus and James Nehus.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kathy Nehus of Paris; eight sons, Timothy Nehus and wife, Shannon of Lebanon, Tennessee, William Nehus and wife, Beverly of Scranton; Kurt Nehus and wife, Sarah of Paris; Gerhard Nehus of Paris, Paul Nehus and wife, Tressie of San Antonio, Texas, Charles Cameron and wife, Audrey of Paris, Andrew Cameron of Paris and Ryan Cameron and wife, Amber of Subiaco; two daughters, Sarah Parham and husband, Travis of Paris and Danna Hamm and husband, Cody of Paris; one brother, Daniel Nehus and wife, Sandria of Little Rock; 38 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, with one more due in a few weeks and 1 great-great grandchild.
A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a visitation to follow on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris officiated by Fr. Polycarp Ssebbowa. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School, 15 S Spruce Street, Paris, AR 72855
Kurt, and family: I sure am sorry for your loss. I've known you and your family for many years, and Bill was always nice to me. My most recent memories of him are of him mowing Sarahs yard on a riding mower with the engine set, at what seemed like, sub-idle. Every time, I wanted to cruise over, say hi to get the ball rolling, then get around to suggesting that "that Im pretty sure that is supposed to be done at full throttle, Bill". I never did.
