A devoted family man, David was the proud father of Carl David Landis Jr. (Ruth) and Lisa Landis May (Anthony). His grandchildren, Jon-David Hurst, Ashley Cullum, Carol Ann, Joseph, Faith Landis, Nathan, and Abigail May, as well as his great-grandchildren, Grayson Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Amelia Cullum, brought immense joy to his life. He was also blessed to have a great-great-grandchild, Everleigh Taylor.

David was a man of many interests. An active member of the Southwest Church of Christ, he found joy in basketball, walking, hiking, tennis, and playing cards with loved ones. His legacy is defined by his deep faith, dedication to family, and unwavering commitment to his values.

David is preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Billie Landis, and his daughter, Stacy Landis.
