Pete Faulkner, age 84, of Elaine, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the home of his son, Greg, with family by his side. Poppa Pete as his daughter-in-law called him, was born Friday, March 1, 1940 in Malvina, Mississippi to Leland and Lessie Faulkner. Pete worked for many years for Carter Chemical under the direction of Bill Carter, handling his gin operations. He loved to hunt, fish and visit with his many friends as he sat under his car port with his coffee.
Pete is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Faulkner. They were married on June 16, 1961 at Lambrook Baptist Church. He is survived by his two sons, Greg (Donna) Faulkner of Elaine, Arkansas and Kirk Faulkner also of Elaine, Arkansas; grandchildren, Richard (Hope) Williamson of Snow Lake, Arkansas, Joshua B Williamson of Mellwood, Arkansas, Lorrie (Lee) Reese of Sheridan, Arkansas, Alex (Morgan) Faulkner of Freeman, Arkansas, Kaleb Faulkner of Elaine, Arkansas and Chad (Kristen) Faulkner of Boston, Massachusetts; numerous friends and family. He leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Jimmy (Rosemary) Faulkner of Modoc, Arkansas and one sister, Virginia Ann Nelson of Holden Beach, North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Lessie Faulkner; six brothers, John, Jeff, Jerry, Wayne, Leland and Ulesses (Bones) Faulkner; one son, Mac Fay Faulkner; daughter, Billie Jean King; daughter-in-law, Anna Faulkner and great granddaughter, Kayla Williamson.
Pallbearers will be Mike Montgomery, Chris Warren, Jimmy Newsom, Tim Kelley, Jerry Miller and Anthony Warren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Scaife, Otis Stephens, Ernie Turner and Shawn Hardesty.
A funeral service for Pete Faulkner will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, Chapel. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Brother Fred Garrison will officiate.
