John Clifford ''Cliff'' Schroder passed away on December 1, 2024 in Mountain Home.
He was born in Tennessee on February 1, 1939 to John Herman Schroder and Beverly Virginia Hundley.

Cliff met Frieda Louise Matthews on a blind date in 1961. They married on March 14, 1964.
He earned his Bachelor's from Christian Brothers University and his MBA at the University of Arkansas.
Cliff served in the Air Force from December of '59 to December of '63, working on radio electronics.
He also worked on the first self-serve ''Help Yourself Gas'', Equi-Fax, Fairfield Bay Resorts and was part of the original 200 members of Fed-Ex, where he retired after 25 years, holding an executive position.

Cliff had a wide range of interests. He loved music, cooking, model railroads that he had personally built, fishing, he was a master gardener and more. He volunteered time to the community, his neighbors and his friends. Cliff was a serious person with a very quick wit, had quite the demeanor and a very warm and generous heart. He would tell you that he was born; he lived, loved and was loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David A. Schroder.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Frieda Schroder; a special friend, Christy; and many nieces and nephews who adored him.

An informal gathering for family and friends will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 312 West North Street, Mountain Home, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mountain Home Education Foundation, located at 2465 Rodeo Drive, Mountain Home, AR or to a charity of your choice.

Jim and Cliff met at CBU in Memphis Tn. They became friends. So did Frieda and I. We have stayed in touch for over thirty years. Cliff will be missed by both of us. Our prayers go out to Frieda.

Our prayers and love are with you sweet Freida. My heart broke for you when you called. I remember Cliff always being such a gentelman and could see not only in his actions but in his eyes his adoration for you, and I truly loved that about him. Though we didn't get to see each other much, when we did it was like yesterday. We pray for peace and comfort for you as you navigate your new normal. Cliff was definitely one of a kind and am so very proud to have known him. We will see you on Sunday.
