February 9, 1927 - November 29, 2024
Our Mom never did things the ''regular'' way.
As Ms. Billie, ''The Shell Lady'', she brought comfort to thousands of people around the world. She wanted to write her own obituary. She will be greatly missed. Billie was born February 9, 1927 and graduated with Thanksgiving, November 28, 2024.
Ms. Billie Burnett wrote her own obituary, it is as follows:
Do not be sad at hearing of my passing. Rejoice with me at my graduation. Jesus told the thief ''Today, you will be with me in Paradise''. Today, I am with Him in Paradise. I will be celebrating with my parents, my children and many dear friends. As Christians we must always remember that death is a doorway to Eternal Life. We may miss our departed loved ones but be consoled by the promise of reunion. I will await all of you in Heaven ''And this is the promise that He gave us. Even eternal life'' 1 John 24
Memorial Service will be at Timbo Assembly of God on December 18, 2024 at 2 PM.
Sister Linda Kusse-Wolfe, Brother David Campbell and Brother Terry Morgan will be officiating.
I met this sweet lady in Walmart. I was struggling emotionally some years back (she didn't know). She said "Hello" we spoke briefly and she said "I have something for you" I was puzzled as she reached into her purse to handed me the perfect scriptured shell. I just broke down and cried. It was perfect. She will be sorely missed. Thank you for a precious gift.
I am so sorry to hear of Miss Billie passing. I have been sending her shells for over 30 years and she would often send me a box of her completed shells. I have bowls of her shells in my house and I let new people who came to our house to pick one. I didn't think I should hoard them. She called me "her friend from Florida" It was an honor to meet with her and talk about Jesus. She was so special and I will miss looking for shells to send to her. Her family is in my prayers.
So sorry to hear this. She was such a sweet lady. She touched many lives with her awesome talent and ministry. Prayers

My life will be forever blessed by a lady who loved like Jesus so big it was contagious to everyone who met her. Though I’m saddened I won’t hear her laugh again in this life, I do rejoice that she earned her crown and reward for her faithful walk with and for Jesus! She truly lived a life that was nothing short of extraordinary that proved we can’t do everything, but in everything we can do with great love! Until we meet again my friend!

This lady touched many lives. I’m positive that at those pearly gates God said “well done my good and faithful servant!” She will be greatly missed! I loved her dearly!
Our hearts go out to the families. Our precious sis will be greatly missed. As I am writing, I am ready one of her shells and how that little shell with a scripture, seems to minister over and over again! She got that correct and blessed us all. Ms. Billie touched are hearts, as well as so many others!
What a remarkable and precious woman of God Miss Billie was. I will always be grateful for her love and prayers for me and my family over the years. She was so gracious to my mom in her final years on this earth and ministered the love and grace to her in a way that truly touched her heart. May we all learn from her how to love others with the same gentle spirit of Jesus that she did. I can just see her rejoicing in heaven with the Lord and hearing Him tell her “well done, my good and faithful servant!”
What a very special lady she was,I seen her shells in the tax collector office today and teared up, although she is gone from earth she is smiling on all who knew her.until we meet again.
We are so sorry to hear about Ms. Billie. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all during this time.

Our sweet dear Ms. Billie. She was truly a wonderful child of God. She loved people and spreading God's word in her special gift of writing verses on seashells. I gave my doctor some of her shells and he framed them in a shadowbox and they are hung in one of the rooms for people to see. She was a missionary in a special way. I know some day I will be visiting with her-could be by the banks of the ocean collecting shells in heaven. Our visits and times at church were precious. Prayers for the family.
I am sad to hear that Ms. Billie has passed from our world.
I never met her face to face that I know of, but she has touched my heart with the blessing of her shells.
On Thanksgiving, I placed two of her shells with cherishes scriptures she lovingly made and has shared with even strangers on my dining table and took a moment to read them and admire her talent the Lord gave her. I said a prayer for her not knowing her health was bad.
She will be missed even by those that have not met her.
To her family, we will lift you up in prayer for comfort
She has sure blessed me with her God given talent to share God’s message of scriptures on his own creation of shells. Such a blessing.
Thank you Ms. Billie,

I'm sorry to hear about Mrs Billie prayers for the family
This lady was one of a kind. I was her neighbor and her mail lady for several years. I have a few of her tokens she made and put in her mailbox, with flag raised. I will always treasure and enjoy the verse in the shell.
You will be missed.
Prayers for her family.
I did not have the privilege of knowing Billy. Too bad; she had to have been a great person. I love her obituary and agree fully. We are kindred souls.
