Gary was also a cherished grandfather to Kevin Barnett, Kimberly (Chance) LaValle, Trevor (Holly) Gibbons, Rebecca (Lance Prybylla) Downs, Rachel (Noel) Gates, Jason (Cheyenne) Barnett, Christopher Gibbons, Jacob (Grace Herron) Barnett, Matthew (Katelin Ragland) Beumel, and Kaitlin (Tanner) Rackley, and He leaves behind great-grandchildren Jaden LaValle, Naomi Canniff, Taylor LaValle, William Barnett, Evelyn Barnett, Warren Prybylla, Bennett Kimbrell, Violet Prybylla, Freya Gates, and Emma Rackley. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

Throughout his life, Gary worked various jobs, ultimately finishing his career with Gary's Landscaping. His legacy can still be seen in the beautiful landscapes of many yards in Fairfield Bay.

For the past fifteen years, Gary dedicated his life to caring for unwanted animals in the county and surrounding areas. Hundreds of dogs found better homes through his tireless efforts, with the help of many volunteers. Special thanks to Rachael, Kevin, and Trish for their support during the past year, allowing Gary to step back and find peace as his health declined.
In lieu of flowers, Gary requested that donations be made to your local animal shelter, honoring his unwavering love and care for animals.

Gary will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to helping others will continue to inspire us.

Burial at Half Moon Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. for family. Followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. for family and friends.

Gary was truly one of a kind and such an inspiration to all of us who love and advocate for animals. We’ve never come across a more selfless and caring person willing to give everything of themself for the animals the way he did. What an example he was, and we’ll miss him terribly. Thank you, Gary; we’ll keep up your good work.

Honoring a great friend and an amazing animal rescuer Gary Robbins who gave everything he had unselfishly his whole life for the animals, he has crossed the bridge recently and is uniting with those he loved and rescued, that have also crossed the bridge, (that’s going to be a lot of happy furs to see him again) I never met such an amazing human being in my ENTIRE life who gave of himself , gave everything for those with no voice, the breed never mattered nor the species , all were welcome in any condition, unconditional love, and it was an honor to know him and rescue with him. I learned so much from him, the man is a real life saint
, I know the animals are all lined up and are meeting him and he is hugging each one and knows their names, lwhat a glorious sight it must be !!!! Until we meet again, know you are missed by many human and fur, and your jokes were hilarious and we love you!

Please read about Gary, a great newspaper article about this great human being , we miss him so much, he inspired us to do great things!

I met Gary a few times, and donated building supplies for his ongoing building projects. I asked him one time how he was able to do everything for all these dogs. Gary said he could not look in there eyes and say no.

It was our honor to know Gary and help in small ways through the years. If anyone deserves a statue of him and dogs standing in the park to remind people to care for these animals, he deserves it more than others. We know that won't happen but we can learn from his example and carry on his unselfish work to best of our ability. To his family you had a wonderful example in your life and we are sorry for your loss of Gary

Deepest regards to Gary's family. He fought to help the dogs till the end.
We all became better people, just being with him. He was part of God's plan for needy dogs. Now he's in heaven with the thousands of dogs that passed through his arms.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the opportunity to help him with the animals a few years ago. Gary gave so much of himself and never asked for anything in return. He definitely had a legacy and was a blessing to many, even us human kind. He will be missed. May God bless your family during this loss.
