Curtis Junior Sipe, 88, of Hot Springs passed away November 12, 2024.
He was born May 5, 1936 in Gid, Arkansas to John Henry Sipe and Margie Johnson Sipe.
Curtis was a good and faithful man. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, and then was a painter for over 50 years. He was a solid, dependable, hard-working man who loved his family very much. Curtis was a member of White Drive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, usher and drove a church bus. He loved to eat good food, especially burgers, corn on the cob, and tomatoes. He enjoyed rebuilding, buying, and selling cars. He had a love for antique cars and his favorite was a 1952 Red Chevrolet Truck. He also enjoyed working in the yard and growing flowers.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristi Schertz (Kevin) of Batesville and Kayla Johnson (John) of Hot Springs; four sisters, Vernice Smith of Batesville, Verbyl Kimbrough of Batesville, Linda Wood (Thomas) of Batesville, Vonita Smith of Batesville; grandchildren, John David Johnson, Kaitlyn Koba (Nick), Daniel Johnson (Nikki), and Kelsey Johnson; great-grandchildren, Emma Koba, Sydney Johnson, Granger Johnson, Curtis Johnson, JB Johnson, Howie Johnson; his 14 year old Dachshund, Molly, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia Campbell Sipe, one brother, Carles Sipe, and an infant great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Kevin Schertz, John Johnson, Thomas Wood, Eric Wood, John David Johnson, and Daniel Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the White Drive Baptist Church at 10:00am with Taylor Gillaspie, Kevin Schertz, and John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Have many memories of Curtis he was a fine man, a trusted person, ole school way, and the way it should be seen him do many jobs for my papa rest in peace prayers for the family
We are thankful for the years of knowing Curtis (and Virginia). They were both a wonderful example of a godly Christian life. So sorry for your loss but we know you have peace knowing they are together again. We will be out of town Saturday but want his family to know we are praying for his family.
Curtis was a joy to work with. You knew he would do the job right. You could trust what he told you. You could tell he loved his family.
So sorry to hear about Curtis . He was a good friend and customer of mine. Loved talking and visiting with him. I know he is in a greater place. No more pain and suffering. May God Bless all of you.
