David Virgil Lackey, 81, of Jonesboro, AR passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on June 27, 1943 in Santa Monica, CA to Virgil and Ruby (Kimbrel) Lackey. David loved to build things and spent his adult life working as a carpenter before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sherry June Lackey and brothers, Roger, Rusty and Steve Lackey.
Survivors include his wife, Nola; brothers, Glen Lackey and his wife, Gertie, Allen Lackey and his wife, Connie and Danny Lackey and Kathy; sisters, Beverly Archer and Brenda Oates and many friends and loved ones.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 2pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave., Jonesboro, AR 72401. Fred Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott, AR.
A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1pm.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.

I am so sorry for another loss in this precious family, I am gonna try and come over, it’s such a shame that our families has to have this passing for them to come together. My memories of David was always good, I loved this family!
