of Leslie, AR
August 9, 1952 - November 7, 2024
David Ardith Kirk, age 72 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, November 7th, 2024 at Ozark Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Clinton, Arkansas. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on August 9th, 1952 to James B. Kirk and Cora Lee Willoughby Kirk. David was married to the late Mary Kathryn Kelley Kirk who passed away on October 17th, 2024.
David or, as he was known to many others, "Bo" was a free spirit and always appeared to be an odd duck. But to his family and friends, he was fiercely loyal. Bo was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Bo was a jack of all trades but a master of none, and that's the way he preferred it. He was always volunteering for things, but his favorite act was being Santa every year at Christmas. Whenever children would see him and call out for Santa, he would smile and say "I'm on vacation with Mrs. Clause." Bo was always traveling. He enjoyed taking family and friends to new and exciting places, all while listening to The Beatles and Johnny Cash. He was truly a selfless person.
Survivors include his brother James W. Kirk (Teresa) of Farmington, his Aunt Minnie Ward of Paintsville Kentucky, Nephews Jason L. Kirk of Harrison, James D. Kirk of Fayetteville, Blake Kelley (Tori) of Marshall, Sister-in-Laws Maria Blair (Kenneth) of Witts Springs, and Marie Dutton (Brandon) of Garfield.
David is preceded in death by his parents James B. Kirk and Cora Lee Willoughby, and his Wife Mary Kathryn Kirk.
Graveside memorial services for David will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 15th, 2024 at Marshall Memorial Gardens. David will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Mary Kirk.
