Mary M. Cupples, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on November 8, 2024 in West Memphis, AR surrounded by her family. Born on February 18, 1937 in Lepanto, AR, Mary was the eldest daughter of Leo & Maggie Lou Butler.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents and siblings, Wayne Butler, Kathy Poole and JW Butler.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose family was the center of her world. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Foster of West Memphis, AR; her son, Bobby Cupples & wife, Marianne of Proctor, AR and her grandchildren, Stephanie Foster of West Memphis, Trey Foster of Brevard, NC, Ashli Byas & husband, Chance of Southaven, MS and Mallory Grove & husband, John of Arlington, VA. Her love and feistiness will live on in her great-grandchildren, Spencer Foster, Jack Grove and Adelyn Kate Byas, who brought immense joy to her life. Mary also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary had a gift for making those around her feel loved. Her home was a gathering place where family shared stories, meals including her famous pies and precious memories.
Mary's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those that love her. Comfort is found in the countless memories that will be shared for years to come.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family as they mourn the loss of Ms Mary my long time neighbor and friend. Ive loved watching her work in her yard as she took great pride in her lawn and flower beds. And I can say she had the best looking yard on the block despite her on going battle with the many squirrels in our neighborhood that were determined to devour her flowers. (smile) There is now a vacancy in our little neighborhood that cannot be filled. She will be missed! In closing I will say that I hope that there are televisions in heaven so Ms Mary can continue to watch her beloved St Louis Cardinal baseball games! Rest In Peace Ms Mary.

My thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. Although I’d just met Mama Mary recently, what a joy it was to know her, even if it was only briefly.
She made me feel like she’d known me for a long time, she was warm, kind, and loving towards me.
Her lungs gave out, but this morning she got a new set of lungs.
She’s with JESUS, and she is rejoicing in her heavenly home.
I will continue to pray that GOD will give each of you peace and comfort in the days to come.
