Richard Michael Dauplaise, age 66, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1958 in Milford, Connecticut to Joseph and Madeline (Paige) Dauplaise. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A proud Southern Baptist, Richard was also a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Bruno and Ralph Caney Fire Department where he selflessly served his community. His commitment to helping others and his warm spirit will always be remembered.
Richard had a lifelong passion for mechanics. He loved working on and rebuilding cars and it was his dream to one day open his own mechanic shop, he worked until his health no longer allowed him to do so. His knowledge and love for the craft left a lasting impact on those who worked with him.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tammy Dauplaise and children, Amber Burton of Gassville, Arkansas; Crystal (Mark) Breitenstein of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Rachel of Harrison, Arkansas; Patricia Weatherington of Reston Virginia; Michael (Amy) of Toccoa, Georgia, Michael (Corrina) Burton of Harrison, Arkansas and Richard of the home. He is also survived by his brother, Peter (Mary) Dauplaise of Longs, South Carolina and his sister, Susan Demayo of Yellville, Arkansas. He also leaves behind his 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Madeline and his brother, Joseph Dauplaise.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ralph Caney Fire Department in Richard's honor.
Services will be held at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel on November 13, 2024 at two pm.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Burns Funeral Home.

I will always remember Richard for his patience in teaching me how to drive a stick shift! He was a special guy.
