Mr. John Scott Plant Jr., age 73 passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024. John was born on April 14, 1951 in Columbia City, Indiana to John S. Plant Sr. and Idabelle Blankenship. John was 3rd of 12 siblings; Joseph, Rose, Susie (Bob), Wilma (Doug), Jackie (deceased), Billy (deceased), James, Bob (Karen), Barbara (deceased, Eddie (deceased) and Thomas (deceased). He is also survived by over 90 nieces and nephews and known as the ''favorite uncle''

John graduated from Yellville Summit High School in 1970 and attended the University of Arkansas. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1971 serving on the USS Denver and the US William H. Standley. After retirement in 1993, he settled in Bremerton where he worked for Kitsap Mental Health for 20 years. He was also a volunteer with the Illahee Preserve and was very involved with his AA Group.

A visitation for John will be held Friday, November 8, at 1 PM with a funeral service be held at 2 PM Friday, November 8, at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas with his brother Bobby Plant officiating.

Pallbearers are Markus Watkins, John Robinson, Jimmy Dale Plant, Dalton Plant, Joshua Plant and Zachary Plant. Burial will follow in Freck Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy. Uncle scotty was a very sweet & kind man...he used to tell me stories about back in his day! I will miss listening to his stories & him visiting us in Arkansas....rip uncle scotty love & miss u
