July 15, 1939 - October 29, 2024
Beverly Estelle (Langford) Spratlin passed from this life and into her heavenly home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, on July 15, 1939, to the late James and Elizabeth Langford. She graduated from Fair Park High School in 1957.
Beverly was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. She exemplified sacrificial love and steadfast faith. Her children and grandchild have brought her the utmost joy, as she devoted herself to each of them throughout the years. She loved being surrounded by family in her home, especially during the holidays. In every interaction, her love spilled over to her family and friends; her dedication and devotion were unmatched. Through her continuous display of Christ, she shared her love and faith with everyone she met. Beverly never missed an opportunity to pray for anyone in need. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Beverly is preceded in death by her son, Robby Cantrell, and one brother, Phil Langford (Miriam). Survived loved ones include her daughter, Julie Marder (Dan); one brother, Jim Langford (Nancy); one granddaughter, Brianna Cantrell; and many beloved nieces.
A memorial service celebrating Beverly's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Lee Jenkins. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. preceding the service.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear of Beverly's death. My memories of her go back so many years. She was always so nice and sweet to me. My fondest memory is how she took her granddaughter into her home as a very young child and taught her to love Jesus.
My sincere condolences to Beverly’s family. Beverly was my dearest Christian friend. We spent lot of time together. Heaven is a sweeter place now that Beverly is there.
Sending my condolences to Julie and Beverly’s family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I’m so sorry for your loss. Shawna Morris
