Peggy Ruminer Row passed away in Batesville on October 28, 2024 at the age of 90.
She was born on January 17, 1934 in Batesville. She was a graduate of Batesville High School and Lyon College. She was married to Roy Row, Jr. and together they raised two children.
Peggy was a past president of The United Daughters of the Confederacy; past Secretary of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Lawrence and Thadese (Fike) Ruminer; husband, James Roy Row, Jr.; brother, Benny Emmett Ruminer; niece, Tonya Ruminer Mitchell and great nephew, Zachary (Zack) Bowen.
Peggy is survived by her children; son, James Lawrence Row; daughter, Alice Row Comer and various nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 2:45pm followed by graveside services at Oaklawn Cemetery beginning at 3:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
My condolences to your family. Ms Peggy was a blessing in my bible class at WoodCrest. I looked for her, she was honest, straightforward and asked questions till she got an under standing. I appreciated her remarks, I will miss her. Prayers for the family!

I also took care of Ms. Peggy at Woodcrest. She was such a sweet lady. I was there in January and wished her a Happy Birthday and she couldn't believe I remembered it. She was very organized and wanted things a certain way, I will definitely miss her. Such a great woman. My condolences to her son, daughter, and family. Praying for her family as they mourn the loss of their mother and more.
