of Greenbrier, AR
November 21, 1952 - October 26, 2024
Danny Charles Mauldin, 71, of Quitman went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
He was born November 21, 1952 in Conway, Arkansas to Ernestine Mauldin and the late Charles Mauldin.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Tonia Shue (Timmy); his son, Brian Mauldin; his grandchildren, Zachary Shue, Nicholas Shue, Kindin Mauldin (Ashton) and Bailey Garcia (Juan); great-grandchildren, Brylee and Oaklan; sister, Sandra Baldridge (James); brother, Neal Mauldin (MaryBeth) and his mother, Ernestine Mauldin.
Danny spent his life farming cattle and loved every minute of it. He loved being on his tractor and was doing hay, right up until he went to the hospital. He enjoyed spending time on his porch with his dogs, Pearl & Sadie, visiting with his mother and checking on his cows. He loved working on the farm with his son and grandson and watching his grandsons play ball. He loved watching sports and westerns and he has every Louis L'Amour book ever written.
Danny joined the Army National Guard right after graduating from Quitman High School. He retired 22 years later, but kept all the friends he made during that time. He always looked forward to his meals and road trips with his Guard buddies.
Danny's best friends were his cousins. He spoke to them nearly every day, kept up with their families and took many trips to cabins with them. He loved them dearly.
Danny was a member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Enders, Arkansas for nearly his whole life, so we felt that is where his visitation and funeral should be held. A visitation will be from 6-8:00pm on Thursday, October 31, 2024 with the funeral at 1:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2024. Following the service will be interment with full military honors at Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
