Butch Martin, 80, a lifelong resident of Keiser passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born on June 13, 1944 to Ambrose and Birdie Martin. Butch loved his hometown and was a member of the 1st Methodist Church in Keiser. He graduated with a bachelor's and master's in Education from Arkansas State University. Mr. Martin was a principal in the Keiser and Wilson Schools for over 30 years. Butch was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Shelley Martin; son, Chad (Tiffany) Martin; daughter, Michelle (Rusty) Young; grandchildren, Luke Martin, Luci Young and Lynli Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Morris Martin; sisters, Sue Victory, Betty Ward, Ruth Spence and sister-in-law, Billie Martin. A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Keiser on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:00 am, interment at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

My condolences to the Martin family and the entire Keiser community. He loved his family, Keiser, and Keiser schools. And, we all loved him! Words cannot describe the contributions he has made and the inspiration he has given to so many in his earthly life.
