Howard ''Gene'' Eugene Montgomery, 82, of Cash, AR passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on October 31, 1941 in Cash, AR to Howard and Mary (Gallagher) Montgomery. Howard was a farmer and a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Bentley.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Christopher Pagan; brothers, Johnny and George Montgomery; sister, Marilyn Bennett and special friend, Rick Strickland.
Those left to cherish the memories of Howard are his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Montgomery; his daughters, Cheryl Pagan, Cynthia Wright and Beth (Jason) Mcleod; grandchildren, Chandice (Steve) Montgomery, Danielle Mcleod, Dylan Mcleod, Hayden Worley, Dakota Pagan and Brittany (Zach) Crisp; great grandchildren, Paxton, Isaiah, Wiley and Avery; sisters ,Delores Barnett, Barbara Ivy and Joan Rose and many family, friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 2:30pm at Holloway Cemetery in Cash, AR.
Visitation will precede the service from 1-2pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave., Jonesboro, AR 72401.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Stanley Rose, Darryl Rose, James Barrett, Anthony Ivy, John Ivy, and Colt Sitzer. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Pagan, Steve Phillips, Donald Best, Donald Greeno, Wayne Carlton, Jerry Cox, Anthony Estes, and Ken Boling.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.
