of Mountain View, AR
January 9, 1943 - October 24, 2024
Peggy Jean Young Carmichael, 81, of Mountain View, Arkansas went to be with The Lord on October 24, 2024 at her home in Mountain View. Peggy was born January 9, 1943 in Leachville, Arkansas to Wanda ''Gracie'' May and Clyde Young.
Before her illness, Peggy enjoyed working outside in the yard and spending time with her family with get-togethers, playing cards and lots of giggles. She loved music and enjoyed dancing. After the love of her life, James, passed away in 2013, a spark went out of her eyes. They loved each other very much and enjoyed 40 years of a blissful marriage. So, she never adjusted well to life without him. However, she kept going because she knew that's what he would have wanted and she will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by two daughters, Suellen Tutt and husband, Tom of Onia, Jennifer Suzette Carmichael of Mountain View; stepson, Marvin Carmichael; two Granddaughters, Melissa Sutton and husband, Aaron of Mountain View, Leanne Martell and husband, Jeremy of Mountain View; four grandsons, Lonnie Fouts of Indio, California, Nicholas Schlote of Mountain View, Hubert ''J.R.'' Engle and wife, Angela of Mountain View and Brycin Winningham of Wapanucka, Oklahoma and four great grandchildren, Auri Yielding, Hunter Jack Sutton, Bash Martell and Riley Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Wanda Young; her loving husband, James; son, Steve Winningham; daughter, Cindy ''Sydney'' Chatman; as well as her brothers, Ed Young, Jim Young and sister, Mary Ellen Young. Her wishes were to have no services.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View is in charge of the arrangements.
