Almus ''Bubba'' Laxson, Jr., age 87, passed away Monday, October 21,2024 at his home in West Helena, Arkansas. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas on Sunday, July 18, 1937 to the late Almus G. Laxson, Sr. and Ida Laxson.
He owned and operated Richmond Hill Conoco and AG Laxson and Dem Construction Company for many years. Bubba served in the Arkansas National Guard for six years and was a member of The True Gospel Church in West Helena. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and water skiing. Most of all, Bubba enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and listening to country music.
Almus is preceded in death by his parents, Almus G. Laxson, Sr. and Ida Laxson; brothers, Winfred Barker and Eugene Laxson and sisters, Betty ''Bib'' Snyder and Frances Leggett.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Betty Laxson; sons, Kenny Laxson (Staci) of Lexa, Arkansas and James Laxson (Jennifer) of Augusta, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Alyssa Goodell, Caylee Laxson, Kyle Laxson, Jack Laxson and Kenny Laxson, Jr.; one great grandchild, Levi Kelly; sister, Joyce Centenio of West Helena; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Green, John Taylor, Mike Cantwell, Neylon Pilkington and Bobby Brown.
A graveside service for Almus ''Bubba'' Laxson will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. Brothers, Kenny Laxson and James Laxson will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

We have know them for so many years that I can’t even remember not knowing them. Bubba was the finest man that a person could ever meet and it was a joy to know such a good man.
