Carole "Gammy" Ann Morris

of North Little Rock, AR

November 21, 1939 - October 18, 2024

Carole Ann Morris, 84, of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord Jesus on October 18, 2024. She attended North Little Rock High School and was an active member of Central Baptist Church of NLR since she was nine years old. She loved her Lord Jesus and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Frances Moore; her husband, Thomas and some very precious family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Walt) Gates of North Little Rock; her son, James Morris of Washington State; granddaughters, Brittany (Andrew) Kryder, Abigail (Colton) Butler and Lydia (Ben) Gates-Kocsis; great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Corbin and Monroe; a special brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Becky Morris; special cousins, Tony (Jenny) Baldridge and Lisa Adair and honorary family, Jonathan and Tara Crouch.

Her favorite name was "Gammy" and she adored her three granddaughters. She never missed a Friday night sleepover, a first day of kindergarten pickup, a dance recital or a school event.

Gammy taught them all to drive which involved so many tears, but all from laughter. She loved them fiercely and prayed for them daily. Once her great grandbabies came, she cherished every visit and FaceTime call. It is said that it takes a village and if so, she was our village.

Carole loved her Church and Sunday School girls. She sang in the choir and led the Widows Ministry for many years. Even if she couldn't make it to Sunday School, she always made sure to complete the lessons at home. She loved the water, whether sitting beside it or on a boat. She enjoyed water skiing and had her pilot's license. She joined Kim, Walt and the girls on all sorts of grand adventures and was an excellent puppy grandmother. She loved reading and watching the Hallmark Channel, Star Trek and Maine Cabin Masters. Her spiritual gift was always taking care of others. She was hard-headed and she was stubborn, and we will miss every moment with her.

The family would like to thank the sweet staff at Baptist Health Little Rock and the care staff of the Green House Cottages of Poplar Grove - Rebekah "Red", Mark, TJ, Kiara and gang - we can never thank you enough for loving and caring for Gammy these last months. You have become an extension of our family. You had her laughing and dancing, and those memories will be cherished.

Funeral Services will be held at Central Baptist Church on October 23, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior.
Interment will be at May Cemetery in Houston, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M.

To Carole's family and friends......my heartfelt condolences to you. Reading this obit this morning set loose a river of tears. I have known Carole Ann literally all my life. She lived right next door to us on Magnolia. i used to believe her parents, Raymond and Francis, were my real parents since they took a real liking to me when I was so young. I actually grew up wearing Carole Ann's hand-me-downs, even some shoes! I was so proud to wear them because they were so nice and pretty. I just remembered that I wore one of Carole Ann's gowns to my prom, including long, white gloves! I was decked out! She was really one of a kind always helping others and always having something nice to say. Yes, she will be sorely missed but i like to think she is so very, very happy now with our Lord and Savior. I am sure Raymond and Francis met her at Heaven's gate with open arms! She is resting now amongst God's angels and singing His praises loud and clear! i dried my tears and smiled, with a little jealousy, knowing that she crossed that mighty river ahead of me.

So much love for her and her children and grandchildren. She was an inspiration, the light and laughter, she lived life the way we all should. Kim you were the best daughter, we had so much fun when our first babies were born and our moms were stuck to our hips. I will miss her so very much. She was like a mom to me and thank you for taking such good care of her. I admire you and you are exactly what she raised you to be . AMAZING. Forever in our hearts .
