Maxine Bradley Morris

Maxine Bradley Morris, 97, of Searcy, Arkansas was born on July 11, 1927 in Sidon, Arkansas. She passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in McKinney, Texas. Maxine was born to George and Lorella (Wood) Danks and was raised in Sidon by George and Cora Wood. Maxine attended Sidon School through the eighth grade. She co-owned the A&W Root Beer Drive-In Restaurant in Searcy, where she was known for her delicious cheeseburgers and for introducing White County's first corn dogs.

Maxine was a caring person who always prioritized others. She received a 500-hour award for her volunteer service to White County Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted spouse and parent and always made time for her loved ones. She loved reading and was an avid fan of Arkansas Razorback Basketball. Maxine was a longtime member of the Searcy First Assembly of God Church.

Maxine is survived by her son, Jerry (Lisa) Bradley of McKinney, Texas and four grandchildren, Leigh (Dallas) Taylor of McKinney, Texas, Jason (Julie) Bradley of Prosper, Texas, Natalie Bradley of Nashville, Tennessee and Ben (Tara) Bradley of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Lydia and Nora Taylor, Abigail, Aidan and Anna Bradley of Prosper and Maxine, Henry, Cecelia and Nora of Nashville.

Maxine was preceded in death by a son, Randy Bradley; her parents, George and Lorella Danks and George and Cora Wood, who raised her, and three sisters, Sybil Bisbee, Mildred English and Elva Bennett. Her spouses, Richard Bradley and J.W. (Red) Morris also preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 19th at 1:00 PM at the Searcy First Assembly of God Worship Center. The Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM at the Searcy First Assembly of God Church with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Searcy First Assembly of God Church Music Ministry. The family expresses gratitude to all family members, friends and the Searcy First Assembly of God Church members who helped arrange her Memorial Service. All arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy, Arkansas.

So sorry to hear bout Maxine. I am Red Morris' niece. She was a sweet,gentle lady who adored my uncle. She was so appreciative & enjoyed family dinners w/us. I know her family will miss her. Best regards & Prayers to u all.

Pastor Bill Hughart and I visited Maxine Morris regularly and called her on the phone. She was a precious Christian lady. She was kind, gentle, and always loved to talk to us about her family and friends. She never talked bad about anyone; she only shared good or funny things that happened.
