Dale Allen Unger, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Yellville, Arkansas on October 11, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1952 to Joseph Jr. and Isabella "Sis" Unger in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1974, Dale made the move to Yellville, where he dedicated many years of his life as a diesel mechanic at Ranger Boats, from which he retired. A true outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, hunting, camping and skiing. His love for Christmas and family gatherings was evident in the way he cherished time spent around the dinner table with loved ones.
Dale was a proud volunteer mechanic at the Pine Mountain Fire Department. Known for his onery nature, he brought laughter and joy to those around him, often playing the role of jokester and prankster.
Dale is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer McCoy (Chris) of Yellville, AR and LaRea Miller (Jeff) of Lakeview, AR. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis Wild of Wilmington, IL and sister, Tammy Clinton (Jim) of Richey, MT. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, Bryan Osborn (Kerri) of Yellville, AR, Daniel Hannah (Bre) of Joplin, MO, Emri Hannah of Birmingham, AL, Timothy McCoy of Flippin, AR, Wesley Miller of Lakeview, AR and Auston Miller of Lakeview, AR, along with Lillian McCoy of Flippin, AR. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Kerriana Moore of Yellville, AR and Paisley Hannah of Joplin, MO and several loving nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carla Unger; his parents, Joseph Jr. and Isabella "Sis" Unger and his brother, Ted Wild.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held at Antioch Grace Church Fellowship Hall on November 9, 2024 from noon to three pm. Burial will follow at Old Midway Cemetery on Pine Mountain.
Dale will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His warmth, humor and love for family will forever remain in our hearts

Rest in Peace dear cousin Dale with all our great family on the other side! I'm sure there are plenty of bean bags games, card games, fishing and more going on in your honor! You are missed! See you on the other side when my time comes.
What a pleasure it was to have you for my cousin. I have many fond memories of our time spent with you, Ted, Tammy and Dennis. We sure had fun getting dirty together! Until we meet again, Rest on high, reunited with your loves. Prayers and our deepest condolences to all the family.
