John "Rob" Robert Hammons III

of Conway, AR

September 6, 1975 - October 11, 2024

John Robert ''Rob'' Hammons, III, loving husband, father, son, and brother, of Conway, AR, passed away on Friday, October 11th, 2024, at the age of 49. Rob had a charismatic spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Rob was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on September 6, 1975, to John Robert Hammons, II, and Sue Gerberi. After Rob graduated from Petal High School in 1993, he went on to attend Mississippi Delta Community College and proceeded to graduate from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 1999.

He met his college sweetheart, Stacy Stout, at Ole Miss in 1996, and they were married in June of 1999. They went on to have three beautiful children, Zachary, Tyler and Alexis. As a father, Rob was a patient and loving presence, always encouraging his children to pursue their passions and be kind to others.

He was an avid hunter, and his passion was spending time outdoors. Rob's greatest joys in life were the times he spent with family. While at Ole Miss, he was a proud member of Alpha Tau Omega and loved spending time with his brothers. He enjoyed watching his children in their various sports, Ole Miss football and spending time with his friends. His laughter was contagious, and his kindness was a gift to all who crossed his path.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Stacy; three children, Zachary, Tyler, and Alexis Hammons; his mother, Sue Gerberi (Mike), father, Bob Hammons; brother, Mark Yeatman; sister, Melanie Danner (Tom), sister-in-law, Michelle Odom (Brian); nephews, Quinn Odom (Maddy), Cullen Odom (Mackenzie), Graham Yeatman (Mallory), and Tommy Danner; nieces, Emily Fish (Andrew) and Elizabeth Stewart (Addison), numerous great nieces and nephews and a wide circle of close friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Yeatman Jr., mother and father-in-law, Mike and Carol Stout; grandparents, Benny and Evelyn Hammons, Alvin and Hertha Moseley, and Uncle Bitt Hammons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 1:00pm at S7 Tactical, 70 Accuracy Drive, Plumerville, AR.

We respectfully request that you honor Rob by wearing the Ole Miss colors of Navy, Powder Blue, or Red; ''Hotty Toddy''!

I found out about Rod's passing a few hours ago. I'm just now righting. Because I wasn't sure of what to say. At this time of great loss..

Because of so many great memories of My Brother. Even though we lost touch with each other so many years ago. I always had thoughts of him as my Brother and Family. With all the great adventures and times we had together. All through ower early life until college at Ole Miss.

I just hate the loss for his immediate Family. For Stacy and there 3 kids. For Bob, Sue, Mark and Melanie.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will be deeply missed by all..

Love you Bro

To Stacy and the Hammons family,

I'm shocked and heartbroken to learn of Rob's passing. Rob's infectious spirit and genuine kindness touched all who knew him.

Rob was more than a fraternity brother - he was a true friend whose always choose kindness and joy. The world is dimmer without his bright presence, but heaven has gained a remarkable soul. I take some comfort in knowing that for an avid outdoorsman like Rob, deer season surely runs year-round up there.

Stacy, Zachary, Tyler, and Alexis - please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in the outpouring of love from all whose lives Rob touched.

Rest easy, dear friend.

Hotty Toddy.

To Stacy and family:

I feel the weakness of any words I could say during a time like this. Gathered around about a dozen of his OM brothers we learned the heartbreaking news Friday night. Our heart goes out to you all. Rob was a remarkable person with such an infectious spirit. I was fortunate to have had him apart of my life.

The streets of heaven gained a better angel, one whose heart and compass in life was intact. Rest easy old friend.
