Gail Beth Mckenzie, 78, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on October 10, 2024 in Lebanon, Ohio. She went to high school at Ole Main and went on to Henderson State University. Gail worked for the State of Arkansas as an Examiner for Social Security Disability where she retired. She earned many awards for her hard work. The one that she was most proud of was one where she had a picture taken with then Governor Bill Clinton. Gail was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She had many roles over the many years serving in the church from teaching children to interacting with her senior adult class. She was very instrumental in encouraging her children to be involved in church.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, William and Rachel Vaden and brother, Billy Don Vaden, She is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Don) Maness of Lebanon, Ohio; her son, Damon (Misty) Mckenzie of Charleston, Arkansas and one sister, Bobbie Dombroski of Maumelle. She had many nieces and nephews.
Her favorite name became Granny to several Grandchildren, Kayla (Andrew) Leber, Jacob (Meriam) Kresslein, Emmett (Hannah) Kresslein, Laura Kresslein, Amy Maness, Donie (Chelsea) Maness, Jamie (Matt) Maness, Lacey (Ryan) Keener, Alyse McKenzie and Kaliyah McKenzie. She also was very proud of her Great Grandchildren, Aurora, Jovi, Eisa, Sami, Rukah, Rowan, Avett and John Mark.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Spring Hills Assisted Living and the caring team from Hospice of Middletown for taking such amazing care of our mom.
A visitation will be held on October 17th at Roller Owens Funeral Home at 12:30 with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 at Roller Owens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Cemetery.
You were the best Granny. Thank you for all you did you everyone. Your sweet smile will be missed.
