Cathy Evon Swaim, 70, died Thursday, October 10, 2024 at home. She is survived by her husband, Michale (of Batesville); son, Brent (of Batesville) wife, Kelli; brother, Robert Richardson (of Pangburn); grand-daughter, Shelby Dalrymple (of Mammoth Springs) husband, Jordan; nephew, Harold Grissom (of Batesville) wife, Lisa; great-grandson, Luke Dalrymple and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Sam Grissom.
Cathy was born July 8, 1954 to Louise and Unious Richardson in Batesville where she would live her entire life. She attended Cushman schools where she met and married her loving husband, Michale. They were married on June 16, 1972 and spent 52 beautiful years together. She began her working life at White Rodgers and was there until she quit to bring up her greatest joy, Brent. When Cathy went back to work she dedicated herself to helping others. She spent 14 years at North Arkansas Human Services working with those with special needs. She continued that work with Pathfinder, Inc.
Cathy loved dancing, painting and spending time with her family. Though she is gone from this world, she will live on in our hearts forever.
