Mr. Norman Peter Larson, age 87, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at Highland Court in Marshall. He was born in Turlock, California in 1936 to Ralph David Larson and Pharol Audrey Retzlaff Larson. Norman was a long-time resident of Citrus Heights, California. He moved to Arkansas 3 months ago.

Mr. Larson was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served our country for 20 years before his retirement. Norman served two tours to Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was an aircraft electrical repair technician. He was especially proud of his work on the Lockheed SR-71 ''Blackbird'' aircraft. The SR-71 Blackbird was the fastest military plane in history. After his retirement from the Air Force, Norman started his own landscaping business. He was an excellent gardener and landscaper. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan. He also collected and repaired clocks. Norman was a world class crossword puzzle solver. He was a single dad at a young age to 3 small children. A job he managed to do well despite his military work and travel. Mr. Larson had a caregiver's spirit which showed in the care of his children and later in life to his ailing wife.

Survivors include his children, Steven Larson (Deborah) of Herald, California, Tammy Larson Ballard (Burt) of Leslie, Arkansas and Sheldon Larson of Citrus Heights, California; grandchildren, Jennifer Robichaux (Madison) of Prairieville, Louisiana, John Ballard (Heather) of Gonzales, Louisiana and Devin Landry Ballard of Maurpaus, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Arthur, Lincoln, Flynn and Kyleigh and brother, Edwin Larson (Gayle) of Winston, Oregon.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pharol Larson; his first wife, Joyce and his second wife, Sara and one brother, David Larson.

No services are planned at this time.
