of Mountain Home, AR

December 22, 1938 - October 5, 2024

Lois Grindley, 85, born December 22, 1938, passed away on October 5, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri. Lois was a beloved community member who found great joy in simple pleasures. She was a frequent visitor to the local library, attending their book sales with enthusiasm. An avid puzzle solver, she preferred 1,000-piece puzzles or more, finishing them in just a few days. She also enjoyed historical fiction and her collection of John Grisham book sets was a point of pride.
Lois cherished her daily walks with her dog, Lady, always keeping an eye out to prevent her from snacking on "worm jerky" dried on the road. Her creative side was often on display, as she was always on the hunt for embroidery floss.
A kind neighbor and dedicated volunteer, Lois gave her time freely to the Redeemer Food Pantry and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was known for her sense of humor and often said she knew she'd get a job in heaven-she'd be a cloud fluffer, making sure every cloud was as soft and perfect as could be.
She is survived by her friends and the community she served so lovingly. Lois will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and laughter will live on.

Lois has been my neighbor and friend for many years. I still look for her every time I walk out my front door sipping her coffee & being our neighborhood watch. Miss her sense of humor, laughter, & love of animals. She was a great neighbor & friend,

Rest in peace, sweet lady. I shall always remember you as being such a kind neighbor to my folks from the day they moved into your neighborhood many years ago. You were one of their closest friends and such a help to me in their final years. You were such a treasure to them and to me as well as to your other neighbors.

I sure enjoyed getting to know Lois and miss visiting with her. I'm grateful to have met her and for the time I knew her, though it was too brief.
God bless you, friend-
