Betty Sue Key, 77, of Jessieville passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at her home. She was born May 23, 1947 in Batesville to Kirby Gilbert and Runell Ballard Gilbert. She enjoyed fishing, watching Wheel of Fortune, The Young and The Restless and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks. She also worked for many years at the Democrat Printing and Bindery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; an infant brother; two infant granddaughters and her brother, Robert Gilbert.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Bob Key of the home; a son, Johnnie Swaims (Stephanie) of Bryant; a daughter, Renee Riggan (Billy) of Lonsdale; a step-son, Patrick Key (Charlotte) of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, Wesley Myers (Carrie), Bradley Myers (Jessica), Sarah Leshe (Tim), Kuper Swaims, Kalyn Swaims, Kirby McFarland (Dalton), Kole Swaims and Bethany Key; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Roberta Metzler and The Florida Girls, Kim Pringle, Vivian Marie Pringle, Kathy Pringle and ''Guppie.'' She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, Arkansas 72015.
Burial will be private.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Myers, Bradley Myers, Kuper Swaims, Kole Swaims, Tim Leshe, John Austin Myers, Dalton McFarland and Billy Riggan.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are by Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
