On Friday morning, September 27th, 2024, Terry Lee Russell left this world and stepped into the waiting arms of Christ. He was 76 years old.
He was born in Helena on August 22, 1948 to Grady and Lela Russell.
He has been a lifelong resident of the Helena area and was known throughout the community.
He was a believer of the Baptist faith who assured those he knew that he was a born-again member of God's family and recipient of salvation through Jesus Christ. He and Kathy attended Calvary Baptist Church. Like his Savior, he was a carpenter, who worked for over 50 years for Larry Delk Construction in Helena.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Lela Russell; brothers, Jerry Lee Russell and Grady ''Man'' William Russell Jr.; as well as sisters-in-law, Carolyn Russell and Stella Russell and his nephew Bobby McClain.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Russell; his sister, Vivian Hall (Don) of England; son, Brad Russell (Debbie) of Little Rock and his daughter, Kristen Pedersen (Chet) of Mountain Home; his bonus daughter, Deanna Igou of Poplar Grove; as well as his nieces, Renee Gadberry (Steven) and Dana Duncan (James) and his nephews, Phillip Russell (Nikita), Lynn Russell (Beth), Chris McClain and Grady "Trey" Russell III.
He was further blessed with grandchildren, Elizabeth Sumpter (Raevaun), Jordan Russell (Tori), Makenzie Pedersen, Blake Pedersen, Avery Pedersen and bonus granddaughter, Mary Helen Igou; all of whom he loved dearly.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Russell, Jordan Russell, Lynn Russell, Jon Sanders Jr., Robert Fehr and Gene Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers are Steven Gadberry, James Duncan, Raevaun Sumpter, Chris McClain and Grady "Trey" Russell III.
Funeral visitation services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 at 1PM, with graveside services to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in West Helena at 2PM.

Michael and I are so very sorry for your loss. We just seen Mr Terry a few weeks ago in dollar general. He and Michael would always end up talking for at least 20 minutes any time they would see each other. Michael has fond memories of working and learning from Mr. Terry.
