Beverly Diane Bishop, 84, of Conway, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1940 in Levy, Arkansas to the late James Earl Tyler and Wilma Riley Tyler.
Beverly was faithful member of The Church Alive in Conway where she was actively involved.
Beverly attended college and received her master's degree in education. She spent her teaching career in the Atkins, Arkansas School System where she was a special education teacher. Beverly had a true passion for teaching children and that was expressed in her many years of dedicated teaching.
Beverly was an avid gardener, and she also liked hiking and exploring the outdoors.
She is survived by her son, Ross Raymond (Vicki) Scalise; three daughters, Laura Green, Jeanette Gail Williams and Jeannie Wood; her grandchildren, Tara (Zack) Wilcox, Justin Scalise, Tyler (Pammi) Scalise, Cara Parker, Lara (Richard) Butler, Blair Smith, Allison Womack, Rick (Jenna) Fulton, Christy (James) Stone, Ryan (Christa) Green, Jenny (Jeremiah) Santiago, Jenifer and Jeremiah Riggins and Lexie, Hayden and Greyson Wood; her great-grandchildren, Keenan and Aria Wilcox, Violet Scalise, Blake Parker, Carlie and Jacelyn Butler, Kerrigan and Aimslee Womack, Trae Sartin, Kaitlyn Fulton (Austin) Wood, Arron and McKenna Metcalf, Isabelle and Maisey Wood, Heaven and Logan Stone, Jesse Knopp, Gage Fulton, Kai Green, Abiyah Santiago and Luke and Ava Johnson and her great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Maisyn and Hudson Metcalf, Iris Cooper and Mason Knopp. She is also survived by one sister, Opal Charlene Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, James Earl Tyler and Wilma Bell Tyler; her brother, James Floyd Tyler; her sister, Leona Delores Primrose and her son-in-law, Lloyd Craig Williams.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at The Church Alive in Conway, Arkansas. Private burial will follow the service at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas.
Aunt Bev has always been one of my favorite people on earth. Her kindness and sweetness showed through in every part of her life. She taught me so much about many things. I will miss her dearly but I am certain that she is in a place where she is loved even more than is possible until we join her in heaven.
