Argie Moudy passed away peacefully in her home on September 23, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born on December 23, 1934 in Story, Arkansas to her parents, Richard and Lena Harper. Argie is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Harper and Lena Rowland Harper; husband, Jimmy Moudy; brother, Kenneth Harper and sister, Sue Harper Warneke.
Argie graduated from Mt. Ida High School in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. After going to college, she went on to work for Memphis Publishing where she was a type sitter for several years. While always on the go, which matched her very social personality, her husband got his real estate license and insisted she get hers. They acquired many properties. After his death she continued to run that business and grow it. Argie never met a stranger and was the social butterfly of her days. She loved going to the Country Club where she would eat lunch and dinner with her Sassy Club. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Being a woman of many talents, she was also an avid seamstress. Her daughter, Cindy, would say she was a magnificent dress maker. She would make dresses of so many different styles for her to wear. Later, when Cindy got married, Argie made several of her dresses including shower and reception outfits.
Of her many hobbies, Argie frequented estate sales and loved to shop for antiques. She was a member of the Quota Club in West Memphis. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of West Memphis for over 40 years. To know Argie, was to love her. Her family was the most important part of her life. Argie is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy (Mark) Crowl; one sister, Joyce Ingram; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Julie) and Jacob (Madison); 3 great grandchildren, Porter, GG and Harper; along with 8 nieces and nephews.
Services are being held at First Baptist Church of West Memphis on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The visitation will be held at 9:00AM with the funeral service to follow beginning at 10:00AM.

I am sorry for your loss. I live on Pryor Drive where Argie lived for many years. I got to know her better traveling with Fidelity Good Life Club. Last December we went to Branson and we had the opportunity to have several great conversations. Prayers for your family.

Cindy,
You and your family will be in my prayers. She was a special person to me and will be missed greatly. I got a big hug from her a few months ago - she stayed in the car and let her Helper come in. I went out to the car to see her. She was happy to be out riding.
Again so very sorry. Sending Prayers & hugs.
You will be missed by everyone and I'm going to miss your big smile when you come in my estate sales I'll never forget your laugh when I delivered something to your house I said where is it going RIP
My sincere condolences to the family. Prayers for God's comfort during this difficult period. I worked for her awhile in her house on 7th Street. We enjoyed talking when we would see each other in public. We had quiet a few laughs. May she rest in peace as she unites with her husband in heaven. She missed him so much.

We will miss you, Argie. We will always cherish the memories we shared together the trips to DQ for ice cream, sitting at the park gossiping about what was new in our lives, and especially how you were like a grandmother to us all. Your warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched each of us deeply. You had a way of making everyone feel special, and your laughter could light up any room. Though you're no longer with us, your spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the lessons you taught us. Thank you for being such a beautiful part of our lives. We love you and will never forget you.

Argie Moudy a lady who got things done.
• A business woman that had vision.
• A business woman who took care of her clientell!
• She could be stern but work a deal.
Realtors of today could have learned from her. Realestate is not like it use to be.
• My heart is with the family and all the Realtors that worked side by side her over the years. Argy was a true lady!
