RayEtta June Thomas, born on January 1, 1948 in Gassville, Arkansas, passed away on September 20, 2024 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was known for her sweet nature and unwavering grit - qualities that defined her character and inspired those around her.
A native of Baxter County, RayEtta relocated to California with her family and later returned to Arkansas and resided in Gassville and Harrison for many years while pursuing her career and raising her family.
She was passionate about sewing, photography and decorating her home, often creating beautiful spaces. She had a special talent for making holidays and birthdays unforgettable for her family, always ensuring that each celebration was special. She enjoyed country music and attending concerts with her family seeing legendary artists such as The Judds, Reba McEntire and George Strait.
RayEtta is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Thomas Jones (Jayme) of Cotter, Arkansas and Natalie Thomas Gress (Jason) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her siblings, Lyle Hopper (Paula) of Paradise, California and Teresa Baker (Bill) of Enid, Oklahoma; along with her nieces and nephews.
RayEtta is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Dilbeck, Elloise Hopper and stepfather, Ulyss Hopper.
A visitation will be held from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Interment will be private.
The family is grateful for the dedication and care provided by the team at Baxter Retirement Village.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, recognizing the care RayEtta received in her final days.
