April 26, 1942 - September 21, 2024
Dorothy Francis Sparkman, 82, of Conway, Arkansas peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones in the late hours of September 21st , 2024.
She was the backbone of a large sprawling family, leaving a lasting impression on her daughters, granddaughters, grandsons, great-granddaughters, great-grandsons, brothers, sisters and a nearly infinite amount of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and lifelong friends. She was best known for how she brought family together and for her unending support and love for those around her.
Born on April 26th, 1942 to the parents of Sarah (Elvia) and Frank Waddle in Little Rock, Dorothy would go on to spread smiles all over Arkansas and Oklahoma.
She made a reputation for her good cooking, managing at the ''OU Café'' in Norman, Oklahoma, after settling down with Ralph Sparkman and focusing on her four daughters, Debbie, Dee, Angie and Pam, each bearing two grandchildren apiece.
After moving back to Conway, she continued to support her daughters through thick and thin and became a staple home of all eight of her grandchildren's lives. Though sadly her oldest grandson, Jason, was not able to spend many years with her, he watched with joy from the skies as his brother, Justin and his cousins, Amber, Ethan, Kami, Jodi, Brandon and Stephen grew up spending most of their time in Dorothy's house on Johnston Avenue.
Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Dee (Royce) Mcpherson, Angie (Joe) Holladay and Pam Sullivan; her grandchildren, Amber Kaufman, Kami (Mitchell) Brents, Ethan Holladay, Jodi Holladay, Brandon Kalz and Stephen Kalz; her great-grandchildren, RJ Chatmon, Rodnie Chatmon, Aaron Haynie, Ashley Ramey, MJ Ramey, Abby Acosta and Emmett Ramey and her sisters, Catherine (E.L.) Taylor, Laura Mcentarffer and Bobbie Lewis.
She is preceded in her death by her parents, Elvia and Frank Waddle; her husband, Ralph Sparkman; her beautiful daughter, Debbie Ford; her grandsons, Jason Pearce and Justin Wartchow, along with several brothers, sisters and loved ones.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and the funeral will be held on Thursday September 26, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas at 10:00 A.M.

Aunt Dorothy , you will be greatly missed. Many happy memories from when we were growing up. The old Rock house on South Church St. in Vilonia where grandpa and grandma lived. The old house is still there.
Mom, I will miss you every bit as much as I miss my parents. Our relationship was so vibrant and so meaningful to me as your Son in-law. Thank you for handing over my Beautiful bride. Trust me Mom, you live in her.
