Gordon Ben McGraw of Diamond City, Arkansas, died peacefully in his sleep, at 78, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Erma (Capps) McGraw; his sister, Verma Copeland; and his daughter, Alicia Jimerson.
Gordon served in the 101st Airborne Division and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the local community center and loved singing karaoke. He also loved collecting toy cars and action figures and was a kid at heart.
Gordon is survived by his sister, June Pinkley; his ex-wife, Jenni Frederick; his step-daughter, Denni Wicker; his son, Ashton McGraw, and his wife Stella; and his grandchildren, Haven Jimerson, Alexander Jimerson, Zachary Jimerson, John Sanchez, James Sanchez, and Jenna Sanchez.
Gordon will be missed by his family and friends.
A small memorial celebration was held for family and friends on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Milum Community Building at Milum Cemetery/
Visiting with my dad's friends after he died, I realized he was loved by many people. He wasn't always easy to get along with, but I loved him very much.
I served in the army reserve with quick-draw, as he was nick named. He was a great friend and soldier.
