December 23, 1950 - September 4, 2024

Dawn Virginia Walston was born on December 23, 1953, to June Mary Robinson and Franklin James Sloop in Bedfordshire, England and passed away on September 4, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dawn is survived by two brothers, John Robinson and wife Brenda, Steven Sloop and wife Laura from Many, Louisiana - three sisters, Alicia Orsak and husband Thomas of New Braunfels, Texas, Jeanette Rogers and husband John of Mont Belvieu, Texas and Teresa Herndon and husband Joe of Raton, New Mexico a stepfather, Donald Harvey of Lafayette, Louisiana and her beloved cat, Eva. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Walston Sr, mother, June Mary Harvey and father, Franklin James Sloop and one devoted cat, Tiger.

Dawn was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife and cat lover. She was never one to forget to send a birthday card to her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband James to the end, lovingly caring for him while he was alive and insisting on staying in Little Rock, Arkansas away from family to be close to his grave, spending the last sixteen years regularly visiting the site and placing flowers there. She was a graduate of Tidehaven High School and attended Wharton County Junior College. She was a faithful employee of Kroger and after thirty-seven years of dedicated service, she was able to retire and spend her remaining years enjoying her collections and her cat. Her hobbies included cooking, spending time with her cat and collecting recipe books, cat things and teddy bears.

We invite you to share a favorite memory of Dawn as part of her celebration of life.

Graveside Services will be 3:00pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
