June 26, 1938 - September 12, 2024

Floy Tumbleson Shepherd, 86, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2024. She was born in Keo on June 26, 1938 to the late Loey and Maudie Tumbleson.

Floy was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 41 years, Nicholas Shepherd; her siblings, Joy Rockwell (her twin), Joan Bell, Lola Faye Brown, Clifford and Dillard Tumbleson and her mother-in-law/love, Louise ''Nannie'' Red.

She is survived by her two sons, Tim Shepherd and Randy (Karen) Shepherd; five grandkids, Brandy (Shalin) Gieson, Amber (Nile) Moore, Tiffany (Aaron) Moore, Jared (Jenny) Shepherd and Reed Shepherd; great-grands, Maci, Haylee, Jaxson, Brooklyn, Lailah, Shepherd, Julian, Ashlyn and Brantly; her siblings, Noma Brown, Ollie Pruett, Donna Carter and Martin and Roger Tumbleson and all of her wonderful nieces and nephews.

She was saved at the age of 12 and baptized in Clear Lake. She married her sweetheart on June 27, 1956, the day after she turned 18, in Greenville, Mississippi. They moved to California, where she learned to make her famous homemade tacos! After he got out of the Navy, they settled in North Little Rock, where they raised their boys. She always said ''they didn't have much, but they always had love''. She worked at Teletype, now AT&T, for 22 years, where she met her lifelong best friend, Shirley. She loved and missed her husband for 26 years. She loved her boys, grands, great-grands and her favorite grandson-in-laws! A special thank you to St Vincent Hospital, Gentiva (Tami), Dr. Nathan Fawbush and the Church at Willow Beach.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 16th at 11:30 A.M. at Church at Willow Beach in North Little Rock with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Our sweet Aunt Floy. I will miss you so very much. You were so much more than just an Aunt but a surrogate mother to me after mom passed. You are loved beyond measure. I’m so glad you’re pain free and with the Lord, your sweetheart and all the family. What a reunion that must be! Until we hug again….Gin
