Diana was born in Oregon City, Oregon to Irvin and Elenor Bingham.

Diana is survived by her husband of 50 years, Her Rock in this life, her soulmate, Charles Mattson. These two were the prime example of what a marriage should be. They had a marriage of love, compassion, patience, understanding and a dedication to each other and their family. Charles and Diana were United as One on November 17, 1973 in Mare Island Vallejo, California. Her father brought a sailor home to meet his daughter and from there, well that's when their love story began. She began the life of a Navy wife in 1973 and accomplished many things during her husband's career. In many of his duty stations, Diana was an Ombudsman for the Naval families. Diana also received NAVY WIFE of the Year 3 times.
When it grew closer to Charlie's retirement, they settled down in his home town of Trinidad, California from 1985 to 2004. In 2004, they both retired and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to their Lake House.
Diana is survived by her children, Janice (Dan) Holbrooks, Edrik (Megan) Mattson and Heidi Zimprich. They also adopted their great grandson, Robert in 2010.
She is survived by her Grandchildren, Lee (Natalie), Charles (Jaimee), Kyle, Shanon, Finnegan, Alex, Neco, Teshara, Jennifer, Michael, Tegan, Benjamin and Kiyah.
She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren, Kannon, Savannah, Hailey, Jonathan, Marcus, LilyAuna, Soarin, Clayton, William, Eleanor, Adryanna, Ross, Jace and Rowan.
She is survived by her Niece, Nicole Haulbauer and her children, Raven, Summer, Ocean, Willow and her nephews, Trevor, Wayne, and Christopher and their families.
There are many more family members that she is survived by and many close friends that have become family. She leaves behind her Best Friend since early childhood, Jo Nicol and her dearest friend of many years, Debbie Saunders. She will definitely be missed by everyone that she came into contact with.
Her love for children led her to work in the social work field. She retired from Humboldt County California as a Social Worker. After moving to Arkansas, she volunteered as a CASA worker where she continued to help those children in need.
Her Devotion to Christ was HUGE. She would pray for others in their time of need and would lead those that didn't know Christ to HIM.
There will be a CELEBRATION OF LIFE on October 20, 2024 at 2pm at the City on The Hill Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas

Miss you Diana … memories flood my mind.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and all who gather to celebrate your life this weekend.
My comfort is in knowing I’ll see you again one day … that’ll be quite the visit!
Save my seat!

Momma, I love you so much. I will continue this fight here on Earth. I miss you more than you will ever know. Until we are reunited again, please watch over us. Tell my daughter I said hello
