To the Crain family —
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Crain. We weren’t lucky enough to meet her but, by all accounts, she seemed like a truly lovely person — and was to several people we know. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you well as you go through this difficult time.
Donna will be thoroughly missed. She was a good wife for cousin Marty and a good addition to our family. They had many wonderful years together and always attended our family reunions and she seemed to truly enjoy herself. We remember her playing the organ at Walnut Street Baptist Church with gracefulness and clarity. She was truly talented. Donna, we will miss you.

Donna was a very sweet and kind lady and I know she will be missed by so many! My twin sister is married to her son, but on our birthday's she always gave me a gift as well! And, yes, she made the best chex mix!! Steve and I will miss visiting with her. Heaven got an angel!!
Mrs. Donna was the best. I worked with her for years in the tiny bank in front of Big Lots. We had so many laughs and good times. She made the best chex mix on the planet and taught me many things about life. I will always remember her fondly. Thank you for sharing her with me for many years. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers.
Donna was a sweet and kind hearted lady. I always enjoyed the treats she gave our family members at Christmas. My deepest sympathy Cary for you and your family and hope memories of your Mom will give you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Meet this sweet lady when she worked at the bank. I remember her kind voice.Always called me by my first name saying Thank you have a good day. Always a smile. Prayers for all
Donna was one of my best friends growing up. My family (Crews Family) sang gospel songs at many churches, old folks homes, MO Pacific Hospital, etc….. Donna was our piano player for years! I was also one of her bridesmaids in her & Martys’ wedding! Loved her dearly!
Mrs. Craine always came to school with a smile on her face and even though her and her husband both struggled with their share of health issues in the recent years, she always asked me how I was doing and shared concern for my stress and health. She genuinely loved all of us at school, both teachers and students. I always knew my students were safe with her and taken care of. There will never be another sub that will compare to Mrs. Craine. We were all so blessed to have her with us and we will all miss her dearly.
I had deepest respect for Mrs Crain as we work together for several years at GCT. Her attitude was always positive, even when her health wasn’t the best! We depended on each other as we both tried to do the best for the school and students! I have lost a dear friend and fellow co-worker! I know she loved her time at GCT! They will miss her even more!
Mrs. Crain was a wonderful woman who was loved by our staff and students. She loved working at GCT and she loved our students. Mrs. Crain came to school each day with a smile and a positive attitude. At 83 years old, she was able to come to school and do a very difficult job with grace and kindness. She earned the respect of our students and our staff. She was a truly remarkable woman that I will miss.

Earth has lost a beautiful soul, but heaven is rejoicing at her homecoming! Mrs.Donna was a light in the hallways of GCTHS. I loved visiting with her about our Brookland folks, and our students loved her, too. I pray her family is comforted with the knowledge of how many lives she touched. I’m grateful to have witnessed such a beautiful blessing.
Mrs. Crain was such a kind, loving, and caring woman. She loved her students as much as they loved her. She will be missed dearly, but will live on through the memories of all of the students and staff at GCT. She always had a smile on her face and brightened my day each time I was blessed to see her. We love you Mrs. Crain!
It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with Mrs. Crain both at ESS (SubTeach) and GCTHS. She will be missed greatly by both places. Condolences to her family and friends.
Mrs. Craine was absolutely the biggest joy. She always had a smile, was so loving and kind, and truly cared for everyone she met. Heaven has the BEST angel right now!
