Charles Ray Dickerson, age 64, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
He was born on September 26, 1959 in Flint, Michigan to Robert Oliver and Ethel Rosenbaum Dickerson. As a longtime Norfork resident, Ray paved many roads in the twin lakes area. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, a river guide and raised big gardens from which he contributed to the local farmers market.
Mr. Dickerson is survived by two daughters, Olivia (John) Flowers of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Kelly (Ryan) Walker of Beaverton, Oregon; one son, Trey Dickerson of Yellville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Gabrien, Victoria and AJ Flowers; one great granddaughter, Maya Flowers; two brothers, Brian Dickerson of Norfork, Arkansas and Tom Dickerson of Washington State and five sisters, Beatrice Childs of Arizona, Lela Jones of Missouri, Ina Lou Gillihan of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Mary Lee Speaks of Calico Rock, Arkansas and Ernestine ''Tina'' Thorne of Vilonia, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Dickerson; two brothers, Dwain ''Kennith'' and Sam Dickerson and three sisters, Vertis Morgan, Elsie Wycoff and Inez Riley.
A friends and family memorial service will be held later this fall at a time to be announced.
