Charles ''Charlie'' Lester Perdue, 83 of Lamar, passed from this life on Friday, August 30, 2024, in Fort Smith. He was born December 23, 1940, in Ashland, KY. to Mr. Dennis and Olivine (Lambert) Perdue. Charlie served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and was an avid craftsman and carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands. Mr. Perdue is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Leroy, Clinton, Glenn, Vernon, and Marie.

Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memory, one daughter; three brothers, Paul (Jill) Perdue of Paris, Lewis (Vera) Perdue of Georgia, and James (Michelle) Perdue of California; two sisters, Ann Collins of Utah, and Barbara (Charles) Lapp of Florida; his niece Sherry (Don) Hildebrand of Fredericksburg, VA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Interment was private in the Hagarville Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
