Mary Jo (Gray) Gunter passed away August 28, 2024 at the age of 79.
She was born in Romance, AR on a farm. She liked her farm life and was a tomboy at heart. Her favorite hobby was riding a bicycle.
Mary Jo graduated from Rose Bud High School. She also received 60 hours of college work at different times.
Mary Jo worked as a clerical worker and spent most of her time working with Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline Co.
She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed working with the children and enjoyed working with Step Ministries.
She is survived by her husband, Carl W. Gunter; good friend and caregiver, Sarah Combs; cousins and other friends.
Mary Jo is preceded in death by her loving parents, Glen and Eva Lou (Pearson) Gray; sister, Reba N. (Gray) Post and loving in-laws, Carl and Jewel Gunter and Wally Post.
Funeral Services will be held at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home at 2 PM on August 31, 2024. Interment will follow at Romance Cemetery.

Mary jo was a friend for many years. We met when we worked together at Northwestern Insurance Co. in Little Rock. We stayed in touch through the years. She was a very kind & sweet person. I wish I had known about her passing. RiP Mary Jo

Mary Jo and I have been friends since the 7th grade, 67 years. She was one of the best people I have ever known. She was a loyal friend and a kind and gentle soul. I will miss her greatly.
